A release time of early January is expected for IBG Model's first ship kits of the Hunt II Class Destroyers - ORP Ślązak (No 70001) and ORP Kujawiak (No 70002) . IBG has provided us with box art for the new kits.

The Hunt class was a class of escort destroyer developed for the British Royal Navy. The first vessels were ordered early in 1939, and the class saw extensive service in the Second World War, particularly on the British east coast and Mediterranean convoys. They were named after British fox hunts. 31 ships of the 'Type II' of the class were completed and several went into the Free Polish Navy. Slazak was laid down as the HMS Bedale before being commissioned by the Polish Navy in the spring of 1942. She took part in the Dieppe Raid that same year and participated in the Normandy Landings. Kujawiak was laid down as the HMS Oakley. and commissioned into the Polish Navy in the late Spring of 1941. She participated in Operation Harpoon to escort supply convoys to the besieged island of Malta. in the Mediterranean. She was sunk with 13 hands in that operation after striking a mine.
We first mentioned about these new models back in mid October. These two kits will be made of injected plastic with PE details and priced at about 12 € ($12.70 USD) and will be offered at the IBG Models webstore.
