A pre-dreadnought battleship kit will be joining the club of 1/200 battle wagon kits that have become popular. Wave Corporation will be releasing a kit in this scale of the famous Russo-Japanese naval war victor, Mikasa.
Built and launched in England for the Imperial Japanese Navy, Mikasa was a modified version of the Formidable-class battleships of the Royal Navy. She was commissioned in 1902 and is best known for her clash with the Imperial Russian Fleet at the Battle of Tsushima.

This will be an injected plastic kit and will measure 26 inches (66cm) completed. It currently has a release date for February 2016. Hobby Link Japan currently has this kit available for pre-order for ¥25,600 ($219.00 US, €196.32) plus shipping.
