Yamashita Hobby of Japan has announced the May 2016 release of kit YMS02030, the destroyer Fubuki (“Blizzard”) with photo etched parts in 1/700 scale
This kit is an updated version to replace Tamiya’s 1970s Water Line Series rendition of the Fubuki which, although accurate, is by today’s standards a little plain in detail. This new release has sharp, dense details similar to the ships in the Skywave/Pit Road series.

This kit seems to be a re-release of Yamashita’s Fubuki released in July of 2015 but with the addition of a detail sheet in photo etched steel consisting of masts, davits, and assorted bits. The prior Fubuki release (YMS02028) is still available at ¥1,275 (about US$12.00) if you don’t want the etch.

Yamashita’s destroyer Fubuki with new photo etched parts can be preordered from Hobbylink Japan at http://www.hlj.com/product/yms02030/Nav for ¥2,125 (about US$19.00).
