Dueling Hermes. Like the Flyhawk Hermes, this is new-tool, right?

Are those Nates flying over Akitsumaru!?

I was reading on Steelnavy how many felt that it was in poor taste and even disrespectful for Aoshima to depict Hermes in her battered and sinking condition on the box art. For me,it didn't matter, maybe bad marketing, but I wasn't offended.Any thoughts ?

Hey Fred...I found no further information on the kit...could very well be! Anthony, I briefly thought it was strange when I first saw it. I can see where many would find it disrespectful for the cover art....thinking that myself. ...and that is from a guy who loves a good wreck!

Anthony, I do think it's disrespectful to depicted the Hermes in such a way on the box art, may I ask how you would feel if it was say the Arizona or Lexington depicted on fire and sinking? In the same way as box art is not supposed to show an aircraft shooting down another surely it should also not show a ship of any nationality being sunk.

The same way Luciano,it's a non issue to me,I can respect people's feelings, but in the big scheme of things for me it doesn't matter.i did think it didn't make sense for them to depict the ship they are featuring in that way,the same if the showed a bombed out Arizona on its own box art.Would have no problem with an Me 109 shooting down a P51 or the opposite being depicted on either box art. You would just think that a manufacturer would depicted the subject they are selling in a cool looking setting Now some have said it's Aoshima trying to be snarky,if that's the case then one could decide to boycott, but for me if I wanted the kit,the box probably wouldn't matter.
