"The Cadillac of Boats" as promoted by its manufacturer, the Century Coronado only number about 20 today. The sliding hardtop was a prominent feature for the craft.

The boat was designed by the same designer of the 1957 Hudson, Richard Arbib and the 1959 version was the flagship of the Century Boat line with sales topping that of legendary boat maker Chris-Craft.
