Round 2 models has announced the release of kit HL442, a reissue of Lindberg’s U.S.S. Shangri-La kit from the 1960s.
According to Round 2 models:
“Presenting the U.S.S. Shangri-La (CV-38) – Essex-class Aircraft Carrier with SCB-125 Deck Refit from Lindberg models. The Shangri-La was awarded a total of five battle stars throughout her career from World War II through the war in Vietnam. Among her duties between wars was to participate in the nuclear bomb testing conducted at the Bikini Atoll. At 1/900 scale this 12” long model features detail such as anti-aircraft guns, Includes 6 F11F Tigers, 6 F4D Skyrays, a HUP-2 Helicopter and space capsule. It requires glue assembly and paint is suggested. A pictorial assembly guide is included”.
