Aoshima has announced the May 2017 re-release of AOS05173, a photoetch brass upgrade set for the repair ship Akashi in 1/700 scale.
This set will highlight the recent re-release of Pit Road’s Akashi from 1997 as well as Aoshimas’s Akashi newly released this year.

The Akashi photoetch upgrade set is listed by Hobbylink Japan at http://hlj.com/product/AOS05173 and can be preordered for ¥1,600 (about US$15.00).
