Round 2 models, under the Lindberg label, has recently reissued Pyro’s classic Barbary Pirate sailing ship model.

One of the very early units of their "Antique Ship" series, Pyro's Barbary Pirate (Felucca) dates way back to the 1950s. The kit was designed for younger modelers with simple, fast construction and a minimum of parts. It has also been reissued numerous times over the years since by Life-Like and more recently by Lindberg.

According to Round 2:

From the sails to the oars…this kit is ship-shape! The Barbary Coast was the name given to the Northern Coast of Africa during the 16th to 19th century – now part of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. One of the most romantic types of sailing ships of that time was the Barbary Coast Felucca. A shortened version of a galley; it is recognizable by its two lateen sails and its 16-20 long oars protruding out its sides. Though referred to as the Barbary Pirates the crew of these ships always considered themselves properly commissioned men-of-war. This kit from Lindberg offers a detailed 4 ¾” replica of the distinctive sailing ship. It features details like wood grain and injected plastic sails.

The Barbary Pirate includes new packaging featuring the restored 1960s boxart, easy-to-follow instructions, display base with nameplate and Cartograf decals. The new decal sheet includes flags, name for display and stern decoration.
