Aoshima models of Japan has announced the October 2017 release of the IJN Escort Carrier Taiyo In 1/700 scale.

This a re-release of Aoshima’s Taiyo model from the 1970s rather than a new kit, but this issue does have a new camouflage decal to help reproduce late war camouflage as well as some photo etched parts to enhance the flight deck catapult. The airgroup sprues included are newer toolings.
