In World War II, 74 U.S. Navy Cruisers and Battle Cruisers fought in at least one battle against the forces of German or Japan. This book records the story of all 74, providing an accurate historical summary of each ship's war record. The book is well documented with b/w photos of each ship, many of the pictures being of battle damage. The American cruisers of WWII were beautifully designed vessels, and their crews were instilled with pride. This book commemorates the ships and the crews.
