Calling all Vietnam War-era Forrestal class fans! Model Monkey is very happy to announce a Vietnam War-era island is now available for USS Saratoga CV-60 in four popular scales. The island captures features of the ship as it appeared from 1970-1975.
Saratoga 1970-1975 Island

1/542 scale: http://shpws.me/OYHq
1/600 scale: http://shpws.me/OYNG
1/700 scale: http://shpws.me/P087
1/720 scale: http://shpws.me/P0hz

In the larger scales of 1/542 (for Revell kits) and 1/600 (for Airfix, Aurora, Heller, MPC and Monogram kits), the islands feature open bridge, secondary conn, and "PriFly" windows as well as additional phasor dual-cone antennas.

The 1/700 and 1/720 scale islands have solid windows with subtle, raised window framing detail.

All Saratoga island designs feature detailed, open doors of the correct type.

This 1970-1975 island is considerably different than the previously released 1958 Saratoga island.

The 1/700 scale island is intended to help the modeler convert any Fujimi 1/700 scale Kitty Hawk class model to a Forrestal class ship. The two classes shared the same hull but the flight deck, sponsons and islands were configured differently.

During 1970-1975, "Super Sara" embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3, tail code "AC", composed of:
