Round 2, under the Lindberg label, has reissued the Southern Belle Paddle Wheel Steamship.
This model is a reissue of Lindberg’s Southern Belle Paddle Wheel Steamship. First marketed by Lindberg in the 1950s, it was reissued by them in the 1970s and again by Glencoe in the 1990s. This kit is is a very basic rendition of a sternwheeler, and the model does have some shortcomings such as the hull having no rake, missing railings, and no hog chains to support the weight of the boilers, engines and sternwheel. If the modeler is so inclined, the sternwheel can be powered using a rubber band drive to connect it to the motor pulley.

According to Round 2, who have been re-releasing many of these old Lindberg kits:

“The Southern Belle mimics the classic steamboats of its time. This historically accurate kit features authentic details and vintage illustrations from the original packaging.”
