Round 2, under the Lindberg label, has reissued Fulton’s Clermont Paddle Wheel Steamship.

This model is a reissue of Lindberg’s Clermont Paddle Wheel Steamship. This was a Lindberg original kit first marketed in the 1950s rather than a reissue of another company’s molding as were so many of the Lindberg line. The Clermont was one of their better early releases, and it featured a carefully concealed electric motor and batteries driving scale gears, piston, crosshead, etc. I am unsure if these features have been retained in the present re-release from Round 2.

According to Round 2, who have been re-releasing many old Lindberg kits:

“Robert Fulton is best known for designing and building the Clermont, the first commercially successful steamboat. The Clermont ushered in a new era in the history of transportation. We have the honor of presenting this historic steamship in a highly detailed kit form.”
