Round 2, under the Lindberg label, has reissued Pyro’s classic Civil War Blockade Runner sailing ship.
Although the real ship began life as a U.S. Revenue Cutter, the Harriet Lane was later captured by the Confederates and pressed into service as a blockade runner. This kit is a reissue of Pyro’s Harriet Lane Steam Paddle Cutter. Later issued by Lindberg, this was one of Pyro’s better efforts – although it was reputedly pirated from the wood and metal model kit by Model Shipways back in the 1950s. (This was such a problem at the time that the Model Shipways folks referred to Pyro Plastics as "Pirate Plastics.")

According to Round 2, who have been reissuing many old Lindberg kits:

“The blockade played a major role in the Union’s victory over the Confederate states in the American Civil War. This highly detailed model kit is molded in cream, gray, green and black, authentic decals, and comes with a display stand.”

Item No: Hl401
Scale: 1/124
Skill Level: 3 (ages 12 and up)
Glue assembly, paint required

The Civil War Blockade Runner is available from various on-line retailers ranging in price from $25.00 to $30.00 (US) plus shipping.

It's a shame Revell don't reissue to Kearsarge and the Alabama. This one also has the wrong flag (that's the battle flag, not the National Flag).

Actually that is correct. It's the Confederate Naval jack. Properly the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia is square.
