With the dawning of the 2018 modeling season, Mike Ashey Productions has updated the website with NEW content!

Hello Everyone,

Mike Ashey Productions website has been updated with the following additions.

Three PDF picture reference files of the USS Alabama, BB-60 are now available. There are 175 color photos of the Alabama and many of them are detail shots of the superstructure, which will help ship modelers fine tune the Trumpeter 1/350 scale USS Alabama.

The Tamiya 1/350 scale USS Missouri remains a very popular kit and considering its age it can be built into an outstanding replica. My tape up of this great kit shows you where the voids are on the main deck and the forward superstructure that will need to be addressed. I have also completed a tape up of the Tamiya 1/350 scale HMS King George V which will be posted after Christmas.

For aircraft modelers I have posted a PDF picture reference file of a restored Curtiss P-40B that now rests at the Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida museum. I will be going back there soon to get better pictures of their Navy Biplanes and the ME-262. I was there two years ago and as I walked up to the ME-262 I wondered aloud if this was the war trophy aircraft that once stood at the entrance to the Willow Grove, Pennsylvania NAS and I was right. It has been restored including the engines, which were stored in one of the NAS flight line hangers.

As my wife and I travel around the country we will be visiting many places and our plan is to create a library of reference material for the world wide scale modeling and model railroad communities in PDF format.

I also added 3 finished aircraft models to the gallery which were built by Jim Hudson of Wakulla, Florida. Jim’s scale modeling canvas is 1/72 scale and 1/48 scale and he is a master scale modeler.
