NEWS in from Al Ross, of Blue Jacket Ship Crafters, of his latest project on the drawing table...Al writes;

"Sometime next month, I’ll be starting on the development of BlueJacket’s newest kit - a 1/192 scale ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG-51)."
"At this scale, the hull is about 31.5” x 4”, a nice size. While the specific details won’t be settled until I’ve had some time to study the NAVSEA plans, it will follow the general format of the previous MAINE and OLYMPIA kits.
That is, it will have a machine-carved basswood hull, probably laser-cut basswood and styrene superstructure components, britannia and resin fittings, and a fair amount of etched brass.
At this writing, no further information regarding price, availability, or other details have been decided.
As with MAINE, OLYMPIA, and NOTMAN, I’ve set up a site for interested modelers to watch the kit’s progress, input their comments, and later share their building experiences with it."
