Model Shipwrights is proud to welcome a new vendor, Garrett Wade. Mainly specializing in high quality woodworking tools, Garrett Wade also offers modeling tools and finely crafted wood ship kits. One of these nice kits is the 1/25 HMS Bounty Jolly Boat.
Measuring 16-1/2", 4" at the beam (boat only) and a height of 10-1/4", this kit comes complete with rigging, three cotton sails and plenty of spare timbers and nails. The retail cost of this excellent kit is $78.50.

"Mutiny on the Bounty" was one of the most notorious episodes in British naval. First Mate Fletcher Christian and other members of the crew seized the scientific exploration vessel, HMS Bounty, from Captain Bligh in the Pacific Ocean. Bligh, along with 18 loyal shipmates, was forced into one of the Bounty's lifeboats (in fact, its "Jolly Boat" as it was called). Bligh then accomplished one of the most famous navigational feats in history by sailing and rowing the Jolly Boat 3,600 miles across the Pacific, finally (and incredibly) reaching a safe landfall near Australia.
