Foresight Models of Japan has announced the December, 2019 release of the Antarctica Observation Ship Soya in 1/700 scale.

According to Hobbylink Japan,

“Straight from the harrowing 1983 film ‘Anarctica,’ this resin and white-metal model kit of the Antarctic ship "Soya" comes with 1/35-scale white-metal figures of the two sled dogs that survived being abandoned for a year, Taro and Jiro!
This is an injection-plastic model kit; the cannon barrel on this kit can be moved up and down after assembly, and a base is included. Includes clear parts, base, and decals for 2 different versions. ”
