Wiener Modellbau Manufactur announces their upcoming release, the 1/72 Austrian Torpedo Boat SMS Adler. The one piece hull and 65 of the main kit parts are cast in resin. The kit will also include a very nice photo etch fret and wooden masts. Retail price is in the $300.00 range and this kit will be available in May.

The SMS Adler and her sister, the Falke, were constructed in Yarrow in 1885. The boats were capable of an average speed of 22 kts. The Adler and the Falke were 41.4 meters long and armed with two 35cm torpedo tubes in the bow and two 3.7 cm Hotchkiss guns.

This is a situation where you've got a masterpiece before you've even built it! Incredible musthave model!. I saw the master at Telford last year and it just smoulders in quality. Peter F
