Building on their growing range of 1/350 ships Aoshima have announced the release of the 1/350 IJN Transporter Kaiwo Maru. This kit is available now and the retail price is 3,008 yen.
This brand new model of the Kaiwo Maru includes a finely detailed hull and rigging. The kitset also includes a split hull which allows completion as either a full-hull or waterline model. The completed model will measure 27.6 cm long when fully completed.

The Kaiwo Maru was built in 1930 as a sister ship of Nippon Maru and successfully trained 11,425 naval trainees in its 54 years of service and completing a total 1,950,000km (49 times around the world) in its various voyages.

- Detailed hull;
- Vacu-formed plastic sails;
- Thread for rigging;
- Display stand;
- Full-hull or waterline;
- Photoetch fret of detail parts for the shrouds and handrails.
