Diggit
  • navywordoftheday
Once again we head off to the world of the nukes for our term today. This is heard in and around the engineering spaces by less than happy nukes when referring to one of the “perfect” sailors in their department. It is normally said to the McDonald’s tune of “I’m lovin it.” “I’m dig’n it!”

For some reason regular sailors seem to dislike those sailors who are lifers or squared away. So any chance they get to ridicule them they will. I never did pick on lifers, I guess that is because I planned to be one myself.

So, there you have it a short and sweet word. Diggit is not necessarily a good term.
