Artist and author Wayne Scarpaci is pleased to announce his new book US Battleships 1941-1963 an Illustrated Technical History. Wayne’s book, the second that he has penned, is the first of a series of concise technical illustrated references. The book is currently available on Amazon.com for $35.99.
The 134 page book contains 52 full color original paintings and 86 new line drawings by the Scarpaci. The book als features 252 photographs, many never before published. Inside, the reader will find sections on all US Navy Capital Ships ordered, canceled, and built by the Navy from 1941 to 1963. The book includes also includes sections on the USS Arkansas BB33 thru the USS Louisiana BB71 as well as the canceled USS South Dakota BB49 Class Battleships, and USS Lexington CC1 Class Battlecruisers of 1922. Coverage extends to Gunnery Ships USS Utah AG16, USS Wyoming AG17, and USS Mississippi AG 128. The reader will also get to view the original, 'as ordered', design scheme XVI, 14" gun armed USS North Carolina BB55 Class Battleships of 1937 not to mention the USS Alaska CB1 Class of Large Cruisers.
