Further to this reporters initial report on the 4th of May 2009 Aoshima have just released the first test images of their upcoming kitset of the 1/350th Ironclad Light Cruiser Nagara 1942.

We understand that the kit will comprise of some 609 parts and the finished model will be in some 463 mm in length.

From these images this looks like it will be a superb release.

It comes with PE in the box, afaik. This should provide the most basic upgrades.

I'll hold off on pre-ordering the Aoshima PE set until the contents are known,.... no sense in taking a chance on ordering a duplicate of whats in the kit. thanks guys, Frank
