The good folks at B & D Barrels have announced yet another release to their growing range of brass barrel sets the 1/225th USN 13in Mk 2, USN 8in/35 Mk 2 & USN 6in/40 Mk 3 barrel set.

This is a 16 barrel set that contains the four x 13 inch guns, eight x 8 inch guns and four x 6 inch guns and is designed primarily for the Glencoe/ITC 1/225th kit of the USS Oregon, BB-3.

We understand that the 16 barrel set has all the necessary barrels for the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary batteries. The four 6in guns are full length in case the model shipwright wants to open the casemate up and scratch build mounts for them or enlarge the holes in the casemate and glue them in from the rear.

We also understand that this gun arrangement was also used on the USS Indiana BB-1 and the USS Massachusetts BB-2.
