Kamizukuri Paper and Creative Paper have announced a great new naval diorama product their 1/700 Waterline Naval Port Scene Basic Set.

This set is made from paper believe it or not.

Check out these images and be inspired for your next 1/700th diorama.

Please be aware it’s the basic set and the ships and accessories are not included. The image on the header main image of this story plainly painted in field/dark grey is what is included in the set.

We also understand that this book is available now with a tentative price of 8,400 yen.

This does look pretty interesting. 8400 yen? About $95.00 USD? That really doesn't seem out of line considering what you get. It will be interesting to see if any of these show up on display tables at model contests.

Hi guys! While browsing Pacific Front Hobbies website I found the set by Tamiya. Heres a link LINK I'm glad PFH has this in stock, because I was not looking foward to that price or finding it!!! Cheers

Holy Moly! That is one deluxe price all right. Although the product would be most excellent for building up a diorama scene. I think I will just work with my Model Builder Software and shrink it down to come up with something along those lines. Besides, the software was only $39. For those of you who like to tinker, Google Sketchup can do much the same thing for free.
