We are now seeing a considerable number of images of Trumpeter's new LCM (3), however for the first time on this site, we are able to offer the images of the 'competition' - Italeri's LCM (3) in 1/35th scale...

The schedule for the release of Italeri's is supposedly August 2004.
There are few apparent differences in both new kits, the only difference which has become apparent, is that Italeri's version includes three crew figures and (if the publicity shots are to be believed) a number of U.S. Infantry figures. If this is indeed the case, this will be Italeri's first figure set in many years. Coming 'hot on the heels' of Dragon's U.S. 29th Infantry Division figures, this can only be good news for Allied modellers.....
