The Set...

Like all of Lion Roars sets this is a well made set that will add those small details that speak volumes on 1:700 ships. You can see on several pieces like the coiled hose pieces (#4) they are even relief etched. The set has been molded on a backing which means there are no connection points with the fret, just peel off and use. The set is general enough that most pieces could likely be used with navies of other nationalities. The instructions are also simple but effective. The only downside to the set is the smallness of the pieces and their fragility.
SUMMARY
Highs: Great detail; Large assortment and quantity of pieces.
Lows: Small pieces.
Verdict: This is a great set that, while simple, will add some great detail to your ships.

About Anthony Kochevar (ajkochev)
FROM: UTAH, UNITED STATES

I've modeled ships as a teen and started the hobby again in 2005. For some reason I got into the history of the Japanese Navy at this time and started building ships of this navy. I also do N Scale model railroading, reef aquariums and a few video games.
