In-Box Review
1350
USS Nimitz 1975 ( CVN68)

by: Darren Taylor [ P7 ]

One of the most impressive features of this kit is the inclusion of a hanger-deck (with you super detailers in mind) which the rivals simply neglect. Based on the fact that this model is a direct challenge to Tamiya's beautiful USS Enterprise, I can not see any reason why this model does not fly off the shelves!

If you are looking for a naval kit and are sick of the run of the mill battleships, have a look at Trumpeters catalogue - you will not be disapointed. There is a good selection of carriers to model, from this ship-of-the-line, to Essex class carriers of WWll vintage to a Russian super-carrier.

I have included some pictures of what you get in the immense box (which is very well organised and padded, where necessary).
Even the flight-deck Airplanes are in thier own little box (they are mini-kits in themselves).

I will give a fuller review, once I start building this lady - which might be some time, as I am modelling a 1:48 V&W Class destroyer by SIRMAR MODEL SHIPS at the moment.

Anyhow, please feel free to message me if you want any information, trust me you will want one of these kits - they offer excellent value for money on the basis of the time it will take to build it.

Not to mention detailing it with White Ensign etched brass.
SUMMARY
Well this is some model - its enormous!!!!!!!Trumpeter of china are producing some absolutely awesome kits of late and this really is some show-stopper. With over 900 parts and some simply beautifull tooling this will build up into a very impressive kit indeed.
