Si, your observation about the detailing is spot on - I find putting those finishing touches on very rewarding. Enjoy the research that must be done as well.

As to military small craft, I have in the stash:
- the Starling Models HMS Algerine minesweeper
- All four Mirage flower class corvettes.
- A USN PC 173' from L'Arsenal
- A USN SC 110', also from L'Arsenal
- The Pit Road Ukuru "A" and "B" type subchasers
- The A86 German torpedo boat from Mirage
- ORP Slazek and Podalanin, also from Mirage
- The Niko Models Cicogna Corvette
- A USN YMS-415 Minesweeper.

All are 1/350.

The Niko kit is, in my opinion, a superb model kit. Not on the list because I don't think of a frigate as a small craft, but also an excellent kit is the Starling HMS Nadder river class frigate. Same can be said for the Starling HMS Algerine. While definitely not in the small craft category, the AJM Scott class destroyer leaders are very nice as well. The small Polish manufacturers produce quality models.

These small ships are first up on worktable since they'll be easier to pack for my upcoming retirement move.
