Thanks Jan,

She is getting there.

More rigging.

The foremast done. Apologies for the quality. but the camera couldn't work out what to focus on, and my eyes are obviously out of focus too.

Securings for the after derricks on.

Lower stays on.

There should be some stays leading aft from the lower section, but I have not yet worked out the how they fit yet.

Flag halyards on, simpler than the foremast, but then these were mainly for back up if the foremast halyards were cut in action, or the bridge knocked out.

Cheers, Si

Thanks Russ,

The rigging on this lady is really "interesting" either odd bits of the kit are slightly out in proportions meaning the logical runs of rigging don't fit, o the Russian shipbuilders had some funny ideas back then... or both

All good fun though.

From what i've read the Russian ship builders had some pretty whacky ideas

You could well be right Mate.

If I cannot work something out that looks vaguely right, or find some new references I will leave those back stays off.

As I always say, mate: if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck...

Only you and I will know they're missing-shhh.

Finally worked out the probable runs of the mainmast backstays, the after secondary guns should clear them.

Topping lifts on the mainmast yards.

Rigging nearly done.

Small progress on this one today.

One set of davits with their falls attached.

In place, and all the rigging painted.

Very nearly there.

Cheers.

Si,

Outstanding job. She really looks ready to set forth upon the sea again. I have never had an eye for the older ships but after watching a couple of your builds I think you have successfully convinced me to give one a try.

I need to clear out the shipyards of all my other requirements first but I will be on the look out for a suitable candidate.

Thanks Sean,

Woodwork isn't brilliant but it works

Thanks Todd,

Getting there, one more set of Davits to do, a few more odds and sods, and some flags, that's all now.

Thanks Dave,

This weekend or next weekend she should commission.

Cheers for the comments and support guys.

Thanks Russ,

This weekend (if I get any time) or next weekend mate.

Tokk a bit longer than even I thought, but it has been worth the effort.

Cheers.

Almost there.

Port side davits fully rigged and boat boom on, (under the forward set of davits.

Starboard Davits rigged and on. I also decided to paint the boat booms white, I am assuming on a ship of this period they would be metal, and that they would be painted white.

Rigging all done.

Just the ensigns to go on and she is, at last finished.

Cheers.
