Getting all the structural details ready for spraying.
The 4" gun platform as it comes out of the box.
with the WEM etched decking added.
Just above the gun deck are the etched 4" ready use racks that go around the etch of the 4" gun deck.
The pompom deck, I have scratchbuilt a new pedestal, the kit one had a nasty shrink mark in it, the injection moulded legs were removed from the entry ladder housing and replaced with scrap etch.
The decals done K 35 on the port bow.
More soon.

Very nice progress, Si!
The camouflage looks pretty cool, and that's quite a lot of metal for such a small model. I think I have to get one of those, too. Very nice!!
Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan,
Love this scheme, the upper works are going to make it really distinctive.
There is a lot of etch, and more to come, (The WEM set is very generous, lots of options) this is a bit of a conversion. (Those unused 20mm tubs from Repulse are going to come in handy.
Cheers

Yesterdays update.
Bought this at Telford last year, because it was there.
The kit 2 pdr is not bad, but this is better.
paint on the major sub assemblies.
test fitted.
Camo and the deck painted on the bridge, railings around the radar need teasing back into shape.
The wheelhouse fixed down, the windows have had a dark wash to lift them out.
The 2pdr detail painted and fitted to it's platform.
Cheers

Thanks Russ,
The scheme was one reason I chose this particular corvette.
Lots of plain grey on elsewhere in my builds.

Thanks Jan,
The colour scheme, along with the additional AA, was the reason for picking this flower.
(and now I know why I bought that 2pdr set).
Cheers.

Thanks Todd,
The kit 2pdr is quite nice, especially with the etched shield fro m the WEM fret, but the AJM replacements are really nice, they also do a MKV 12pdr, I am hoping we might get a 4" MkV as well from them.
Cheers

Thanks Russ,
It is a nice little kit, not 100% and looks a bit "Limited run" on the sprue. This is my second, and won't the last, so many different colour schemes and fits.
Would be nice if Mirage would release a short fo'c's'le and a late long fo'c's'le, still there is always conversion
Cheers
