Getting yesterday's airbrush work fitted.

The 4" gun with the shield fitted.



The paraves, and their davits in place.



After 20mm platform with the decks painted and in place.

I have to say I am very pleased with this one, straight out of the box, and a really enjoyable kit.

A few more cable reels, boats, foremast, railings and rigging to be added.

PS, if you fancy a resin ship, cannot recommend this one enough, have a second in the stash, might even go for a third to cover all the AA fits, and a pure minesweeper, with no A/S on one of them.

Today's progress.

The paintwork on the boats done.



And fitted.



Work on the Mast.

The kit provides plenty of two thicknesses of brass rod, and reasonably deep holes to locate the mast and it's two support struts.

Starting with the support struts.



And then the mast itself.



The mast was left in its' locating holes until it the glue had cured.

Then take out and the crow's nest, and yard arms fitted.



Now ready for spraying.

Finally for today, the anchors fitted in place.

It is that, and Starling have a River class Frigate coming next. Which I am also looking forward to.

One mistake I made, didn't think about rigging early enough, the funnel stays would have been a lot easier to fit straight after I put the funnel on.

You are right there Jan,

I don't know about making it look cool, The language coming out of the workshop whilst I was trying to fit the stays without dislodging the boats was a bit to say the least.

This is such a great little kit of such an interesting and underrepresented ship type I couldn't resist diving in, and I am enjoying very minute of this build. (except some of the bits caused by my own lack of planning.

You are right there Jan,
