Si,

Great progress, the bridge does look awesome.

Mark

Thanks Mark,

I reckon Starling have got the level of detail on the open section just right.

Nice and crisp too.

Cheers

She's looking great, Si!

Nice weathering too. Like she's had the hard life, one would expect from a ship of her class

Si,

that's another masterpiece of yours. The weathering and beaten look are just excellent and I'd assume fitting for that kind of hard working ship!

Thanks Russ,

I am not great one for weathering, a bit scary on big models, but this little tough little ship is a place to start overcoming those fears.

Thanks Jan,

Very kind of you say so mate, this is the first time I have gone for the heavily weathered look, couldn't build this little beauty any other way.

Thanks Ned, I normally find myself adding detail, but on this one, the kit detail looks right for that type of ship, just needed picking out.

A bit of a delayed update, this was done a couple of weeks back.

supports added to the bridge wings.

The bridge assembled.

And fitted in place.

Twin Lewis guns painted, these appear to be 3D printed resin, they are very nice.

Fitted in place.

Hope to get some more done soon.

Cheers

Si,

The bridge is looking great. That is some kit that supplies 3D printed weapons.

Thanks Mark,

A lot of that has to do with the quality of the casting, the only thing I have added is paint.

Appreciate you looking in.

You and me both Mate,

One thing I like about the kits Mike & the Boys at Starling Models are coming up, is that they are escorts and other odd subjects.

Thanks for taking time to look in.

In an attempt to try and keep up to date, Sunday's progress.

Etched ratlines on the foremast.

Carley float and it's lashings on.

The kit Carly float is very nice, resin with etched webbing.

Searchlifht platform built and added, it is a little wonky, I think I can cure that

A few more details added down aft.

An overview, little touch up on the deck and the weathering needed.

,

More soon, after the weekend, I hope...

Cheers

Si,

I had to go to Google to find out what Wonky meant.

She looks almost complete, much left to do?

Hi Mark,

Apologies for that, never occurred to me Wonky wasn't in use your side of the pond.

A bit to go, a searchlight on the platform, the 12pdr gun of the forward gun platform, a 20mm down aft, some of the net handling gear, and the rigging.

Thanks for looking in mate.

Cheers

A little bit further.

There were a two odd structures either side of the forward deck house, I would presume they are something to do with either paravane or net handling.

The easy solution to their size was assemble on the fret.

completed.

Fitted in place, along with the fo'c's'le decl railings and the anchor.

The rust on the anchor needs a little dirtying.

The searchlight, and a couple figures added to the compass platform, being an Armed trawler, their uniforms are a bit irregular.

Just the 12pdr, 20mm & rigging to go.

Hope to get her done over the next week or so.

Si

They are odd, nice job getting them installed.
