I hope Steve has his anti-drool guard over his keyboard when he sees these pictures.
I like the base they include, that looks like the timbers of a dry-dock. That's different from the typical pedestals or stand.
I also like that it looks like the individual main guns can be elevated at different angles, again giving the modeler the chance to make his ship look just a bit different from others.

I see a lot of the things I liked from my North Carolina ae still the same. Looks like the nds of the main gns are bored out and the 20mm look a little better as well. Still, a good brass set is needed to makeit a real beauty. Oh and Gator start making up a mask for that MOd 12 measure.
Rodger, I've had this on pre-order with Keith since the kit was first announced. I'm very patient. This is due out pretty soon which I guess gives me another reason to be glad the San Francisco was delayed.
