Color me dense but I don't understand? Is this a different kit than the 1/350 kit they announced earlier, that everybody had a chance to bash or defend a while back? Is it 1/700, or the 1/350 but changed in some way, or what?

This version of the San Francisco has the cut down (aka "ugly") bridge and a heavier AA armament. Not nearly as handsome as the 1942 (aka "previously trashed) version - IMO.

Well, hopefully they will make both versions, but take the time to improve the 1942 version somewhat. I've heard that this is a February release. In the background is the Riechelieu. Any idea on expected release date for that?

So they have delayed the first one, and before it's even come out have announced a second? Got to love model companies.

Mark, I was asking about the 350 scale version of the Richelieu.
Rodger...just gives you more time to get in on the pre-order at Great Models. I forgot exact price but it was somewhere around $48.
And, I'm still waiting for the BAMA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
