Hooray! Got my order for Trumpy's USS San Francisco filled at Hobbylink Japan today. A little pricey this way but I can't wait for it to hit our LHS. Been wanting for this ship almost forever!. When I was a kid, I saw a line drawing of her (in the '44 configuration actually) in a National Geographic Society book from the early 60's (Men Ships and the Sea) and thought she was the coolest looking cruiser. I'm so happy to, at long last, get a styrene version of the San Fran. Hope Trumpy doesn't take too long in issuing the 1944 fit.

Got my Trumpy San Francisco today. Very nice indeed. Ordered some PE from Gold Medal Models which ought to finish off this ship nicely. The odd flaw here and there- molded on prop guards and anchor hawse pipes which need to be drilled out and built up a little. Otherwise, for the money, a lovely kit. Glad I finally have a CA-38 after all these years. Thank you Trumpeter.

She is in 1942 fit correct? This would mean Measure 21 only?

Don't forget about the Cursiers of the 20th Century Campaign coming up in July. It would be nice if to see somebody build her. (Just a hint)

I have built my USS SanFrancisco kit and found it to be smooth build and loaded great detail. I only wish we could have had the option of build the 5" 25cal i level or high angle mode. I looking forward to USS Houston CA30 from the Trumpter line. I think it would be good start for line models for flagship class of NOrthampton CA. with jsut few extra parts you build USS Chicago 42-43 or USS Augusta 44. Does anyone know about future trumpter releases Ken

The only other one I've heard about is the French BB Richelieu. As to other WW2 US crusiers, don't hold your breath. It took several years to get the first one. I would think the next one (if they don't keep on with the BB ttrend) would either be a Baltimore or a Cleveland
