hello all,
well it looks like i can do some work on the San Fran for the next 2 weeks.this morning i was taking down a 90 foot tree and it nailed me.just a few bent and broken bones(ribs and arm),so i am not allowed to do anything but bed(chair)rest of 2 weeks.it is a shame i have to stay inside and not do anything,so i can get some things done on the San Fran.
@James,we have an external HD but it crashed at the same time, but we back up all of our data every night and put it on a DVD.that saves all of the days data.
@Frank,i do not think that Mark will allow you to finish my San Fran for the Build,he wil see i have gotten alot better "overnight"LOL.
i should post some photo's this weekend along with a few questions about the build.
cheers,
Bruce

Take it easy there, Bruce. Sounds like MIss Mary can handle the trees while you do some modeling therapy. Barry

hello all,
thanks for the kind words, the pain was the wind hit just as the tree kicked and it hit me in the right ribs,so the doc's told me i have 4 broke ribs and 2 cracked ones.i also cracked the lower right bones.and Miss Mary is not alowed to use the chain saw,so we both have 2 weeks off.
again thanks for your kind words.
cheers,
Bruce

I once lost a part only to found it on my head, superglued to my hair. I think it was because I was working to close to my model. lol

I hope you got your arm back soon.

hello all,
got the cast off Sunday,i can now start building again.i still have the chest cast on,it will be off in a few weeks,i hope.the doc's are worried when i bent the ribs i tore a small hole in my lung,so they are keeping a close eye on it.i have an MRI every few days to make sure everything is OK.
i just got a big box of models Friday to include the Sullivan's,a fletcher, emden all in 1/350.i also got the upgrade PE for the Buchanan, fletcher and 1/350 figures by tamiya.there was also a 1/35 Huey for the airborne campaign.so i am happy.
i hope all of you have a great and safe week.
cheers,
Bruce

hello all,
long time,no post. i just got out of the hospital today.to make a long story short, when i got hit by the tree i bent/broke some of my ribs.i also ripped a hole in my left lung.on Oct.20 i passed out,and then off to the hospital.they found the hole in my lung and a bad infection in the lung.i spent 4 hours on the table, they took 1/3 of my lung out along with some other things.i now have 4 steel ribs on the left side and i am 30 lbs lighter.
Mark,do you want me to resign from this campaign?i would like to try and finish this build,as when i was in the hospital, all the paints arrived for the San Fran.i am not allowed to do anything physical at all.so i guess that my build will be delayed in the near future.
i hope all is well with all my shipmates and thier families.
cheers to all,
Bruce
PS,this is the third bad thing to happen to me,so i should be safe for the rest of the year.i hope.

Hi Bruce

First of all, take your time to get yourself well! I wish you a fast (if possible) but steady recovery!
Than, when you're 100%, take your time to finish the model - no rush... you and the guys (including myself) still have 9 months to deliver a finished model

Again, get well soon

Rui

PS: As we say here, if you escaped from the third... you're clear

Hi Bruse,

the Spitfire is coming along very slowly (I need to find time and space to paint the interior). I hope to get the interior painted next weekend and the week thereafter. It is much easier to sneak in build time during the week.

I am in the final year of my MPhil, and things have started with a bang. Because I have set the bar high and professors are setting up meetings with specialists (some well known) and I can present my final thesis at a conference in April (2 months before the regular deadline), which means work is piling up higher and faster than usual.
