Photos are probably stuck off in some temporary file in the wasteland known as hard drive. I've had that happen when I tried to down load documents.

Nice one, Bruce, I'm looking forward to seeing how the plastic kit is built in good hands. In my experience there are lots of problems that only come to light as you put the kit together but maybe this one is an exception.

All the best,

does anyone know what the peace time colors were for the San Fran,i am looking for 1940-1941?i have been thinking about doing her for that time period.or maybe right after the canel campaign late 1942?i have to keep looking for some info for both time period.

Hi Bruce,

According to the Snyder and Short ship camouflage data base (http://www.shipcamouflage.com/usn_ca.htm) San Francisco wore MS11 in 1941.

Looking forward to following your build.

hello all,
i got 18 photo's posted on my gallery.
this is the anchor stantions?
i have no idea what this is,but is forrard of the hanger
this is the stern main guns
i do have a qusetion about the main guns, each gun is glued on seperate, how do you get them so they are straight?you cannot see on the photo's but they are a little crooked.
this is just a side view of the hull showing the main deck glued on.with no hull ribs it was fun making sure it was on right.
hopefully all of you will like what i have done so far.John of White Ensign said that the paints should be here in 1-2 weeks, then i can get the deck painted it's Blue color.
cheers,
Bruce

Some nice clean construction in progress, Bruce, and good images to back it up. I'm looking forward to your painting phase as you have this under control even if the vendors don't.

hello all,
just to let you all know that my main system died 2 days ago and i am taking it to the techies to get fixed.so i am using the backup system which if i am lucky will get between 19.9 to 28.4 bps in speed. this is where all 200+ of my games is on.
so i will try to check the site every night,if you do not hear from me,it is because the back up is to slow to do anything.
cheers,
Bruce

hello Rui,
thanks for the well wishes.we have been using a techie, but after 2 years and about $7000 the systems are still messed up.so we decided to take first the main system, then the back up(my gaming computer) to another techie.hopfully it will get fixed and not be a problem later on.the biggest worry is to make sure that i can upload photo's of my build on the back up if the main is still messed up.
i wish you well with your system, may it work till the end of time
cheers,
Bruce

hello all,
i got my main system back today and have spent 4 hours putting software back on it,i have another 5-6 hours of software left to do.
i have not got alot of modeling done for the last few weeks, because it has been so hot and dry here.we have been clearing 56 trees of about 20 to 110 feet tall and about 500 cubic yards of brush.with just Miss Mary and myself doing it.we are both very tired, but we have another 50 or so trees to do and another 400 to 500 cubic yards of brush to remove.all of the tree's are infected with the pine beetle and we want to try to stop the infection with out spraying the tree's with harsh chemicals.i hope we can.
so i am not sure how much modeling i am going to get done this month on the San Fran,we will just have to see.
i will try to check out what is going on here at MSW as much as i can,but we are putting in 12-16 hour days.
i hope every one has had a great few weeks, and a safe weekend.
cheers,
Bruce

Good luck with all that Bruce! I sprained my elbow today prunning a large bush... every time I complain about summer yard work I remind myself, "better than shoveling snow!".

Do you have an external HD? I connected one to each of our computers and I make a "mirror" onto then as backup, has saved my bacon in more than one occasion!

Looking forward to your SanFran, Cheers
