Thanks Joe I have added this to the "to do list".
Thanks again for looking in Julian.
Update time!
Time to practice the new rigging technique.
Certainly not a new technique but certainly something I have not tried before.
I am trying stretched sprue and I will see how it goes. Deep breath & I just wanted to start small & build some confidence.

Time to check for alignment etc. with the kit supplied dodgers.
Things look a little misaligned hmmmmmmm
The dodgers are on a lean outwards.

Thanks Joe - I havent in all honesty thought too much on how to display it when its finished. After battling with it for what seems for ever (8 years and counting) I have just been trying to get some progress.
I do like it waterline it looks different. Would it look silly sitting waterline on a nice wooden base? Your thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks for looking in Julian.
Cheers

Ahoy Sean,
Silly?...Not at all! I like the idea of it on a water base.
Looking forward to seeing it displayed that way.

Joe

Hi Sean, great to see this finally coming to a conclusion. Looks great!
As for display: waterline on "water" on a wooden base would be nice, but are you sure you want to cut her down? Or woul dyou just have the water deep enough that the full hull fits?

Thanks Sean - no need to cut her down the kit designers have allowed either full hull or waterline& I have worked it so I can actually interchange.
Long overdue update with some more rigging along the side:

Not entirely happy with it!

Ahoy Sean,
A little heat from an extinguished match will tighten those lines.
Be careful... work slowly.

Ahoy Joe
Thanks thats a great tip.
I was planning on using your tip along with the incense sticks as per the "Jim Bannerman" method - working slowly and carefully.
A further update oops not a great first shot but a whole lot more rigging done:

Cheers
