I'm just curious as to what everyone is working on right now. I got an old 1:700 IJN Yugumo destroyer I'm working on right now.

Oh no!!

Now I have to admit to all my half done projects.

I am actually only working on two items. First I am working on a 1/35 WR360 Locomotive. I also have my entry in the Camo Campaign an IJN DD I reviewed, the Mutsuki.

Now Sept 1, I will really kick the ship yard into high gear.

Tonight I started the 1/700 Dragon Arizona Premium Edition. Looks like a good kit so far. Very detailed. Brian M

I'm getting close to finishing the 350 scale Jerimiah Obrian. Probably kick into the BAma next as I've got the red hull and the deck painted on her.

Finishing 2 Ju-88's 1/32,
Almost done with hull corrections in my 1940-41 Saratoga build..... just need to align the alum prop shafts.... and following as a reference the Lexington bulid I found on this site.
Downloaded all 130 pages of this build at work ( shhhhhh...don't tell anyone)!!!!
Started basic contruction for my 1/350 Akagi...found an execellent build on the hasagawa model (Model Graphix,#297,Aug 2009). Pictures are worth a thousand words, now all I need is Japanese translation I just don't know how those guys use the photo etch for the aircraft canopy's?????

Respectfully,

Something I swore I'd never build again in 1:350, the Tamiya Yamato. I've been at it a little over a week now adding bulk detail and am already starting to eye off the IJN Maya and Nagara sitting on the other bench.

The Trumpeter 1:350 Repulse finally came in last week and I have been blissfully pressing forward on her build...what a pretty ship!

"What is on your workbench?" You mean aside from it being a depository for every item of junk, unopened mail (bills mostly), research books not returned to the book case, the last four bottles of paint I haven't put back where they belong yet, and anything else that hasn't made it to their home? Nothing that floats right now. Lately I've been on a binge of finishing up kits I started months, even years ago. I've lately completed, mostly, my DML Valentine, Sherman M4A1, and Academy M18 Hellcat. One day I thought I'd build something quick and easy. I don't know what possessed me but I chose the Italeri/Testors/Peerless Max M6 Anti-tank Dodge. I have a lot of words to use for this kits but Quick and Easy aren't two of them. So I decided to do really quick and easy, and built the Tamiya Matilda, the old toy like one not the new one, and the Churchill Crocodile. My thought was that I will certainly be getting the new Tamiya Matilda and the AFV Club Churchill and once I did the odds of building these two dinosaurs were slim and none.

My next floating things will be either to continue work on Trumpeters 1/350 HMS Hood, or to do a quick build of my 1/400 Mazur.

Gator's Masks and More orders, review samples, breakfast, lunch or supper depending on the time of day, 1/700 USS Louisiana and 1/72 X-15.

Oh yeah, Jim's camouflage masks design for his camo ship campaign.

Revells 1:72 type VII C for the camouflage campain, not that far yet, have started opening up the floodholes and preparing for the Modelbrass etch.

The tower is more or less done only lacking the periscopes and 20 mm.

Otherwise, measuring and wirting about the AMP 1:72 updateset for the II A submarine - interesting stuff...

Cheers/jan

Like Mark,... mainly dust ...but there is a light at the end of the (work) tunnel. My current (way away from home) work will end soon and I might actually get to spend some time at home, where I can contribute to both the household chores and spend a few hours at the work bench. I'd like to complete my abandoned IJN Isokaze and IJN Nagato by then hopefully my Nagara will have arrived from HLJ.

Just a lot of impact marks from my head hitting it after dropping PE parts on the floor and reaching down to find them without properly planning the obviously complex maneuver!

I probably have the saddest "whats on your workbench" entry.

The whole contents of the shelf I had drilled and installed ABOVE the workbench few months ago. And that was full of glues, putty tubes, Future bottles, and all things considered.

Yes, the shelf came crushing down on the workbench.

And under the plethora of tubes, containers, and glues.... the remnants of the USS Kidd superstructure and masts, one 1;48 Revell P-51D, and portions of the Nimitz I completed (!?) for the Hollywood at Sea GB.

My meager modelling time has been spent fixing the Kidd superstructure, putting together the pieces of the helo, sweaping the floor for radar and sensors, and collecting a Michaels coupon to get another P-51.

Yep...you win. Sorry to hear of the catastrophe.
