I had the same fit problems with Trumpy's 1/350 Repulse. Very frustrating, but
you seem to be doing a much better job than I did!!!!

Thank you for your kind words. I have found the kit not quite to be as bad as some have said.

maybe I was just lucky & got a good one.

Mark, great work on what is obviously a very problematic kit. You have done Hood and all who sailed in her, fought her and died with her proud. I'm anxious to see your next posts as you build her up. You should be justly proud of the work you have done.

Thanks Julien, appreciated

I will be glad when I have got the second one done. Then on with the shelter deck structures & boats.

One thing with taking close ups, I can see where I need to get in & touch up the paintwork.

More soon, (I hope)

Nothing worthy of an updated pic, but have base coated the funnel stays with citadel boltgun metal, these will then get a wash of light grey acrylic, to look dirty white lead & tallow, with which wire standing rigging is / was usually protected, and a finer wash of burnt sienna oil, rust showing through & more dirt.

Have also started to add tie downs to the life rafts.

will post pics when I get that finished, and the flaws the enlargements have brought up tidied up.

I have finally been able to get back to the Workbench and do some plastic. With Work, Horrid Weather and Family Sickness to contend with, it has not been a good Month. Have started work on the Forward Superstructure so here is where I am up to....Cheers Mark

Good to see you back on the build Mark, and good progress as well.

A bit more done, still working down the centre line of the shelter deck.Apart from a bit more weatheringand addition of the aerials the funnel units are about done The vents and after superstructure have been assembled, and painting on them started.

Thanks Simon. Don't know how much I can do at the Moment. We have been struck by some disastrous Floods and we are watching The rising River near us very closely. At least 20,000 Homes are Flood affected in our City of Brisbane with damage everything. Will see how we go,,,,,,Mark

Even though this is not the Forum to post this in, I just want to let everyone know that I am safe and sound after the catastrophic Floods that hit my Homestate Of Queensland and the Capital of Brisbane here in Australia. My thoughts and Prayers go out to all the Victims of this tragedy. At least 20 are now confirmed Dead with more missing presumed Dead.It will take our city at least 2 Years to recover from what happened. 60 Suburbs were inundated with up to 110,000 withoput power at one stage. Only 1000 left to reconnect. The big worry is we may get more troubled weather to come. Off that now, will post some updated build Pics shortly......Thanks and cheers Mark
