Hi Jesse. I too missed doing the Blast Bags so am not going to wreck what I have done by doing them. When it came to the Barrels, I cut them off, Drilled Holes for the new Barrels and glued them in. They look much better then the Kit supplied ones. OK I have now finished the Aft Fire Control Area so now onto the next stage.....Cheers mark

Looking good Mark,
she's a hefty beast even in 1/350 scale. Beautiful line to her as well.
cheers,
Julian

did you already paint the bottom of the hull with the red yet?
looks good so far with the paint.
I may go with a different approach with painting. I havent quite decided yet. it really depends on what i find works best for this. i am going to use the Tamiya IJN gray for main color, but probably add white to lighten for the next coat on the post shading on the inner panels. Depending on how it turns out, if i find that it needs more shadow on top of my method, i am going to use tamiya clear smoke to add more.

The Yamato looks beautiful Mark, the PE work is magnificent.
Apparently the decks were darkened with a mixture of diesel and soot on her last mission. I hope you are going to give historical accuracy a big middle finger and leave the decks looking the way they do now.
