No...the 1980's version

I have the same version of the Yamato and the review sample of LionRoar's PE plus Eduard's PE in my stash. This build will have to wait for a while though

Hi Mark,
Newbie here. That looks marvelous. Was there molded on ladders where you have pe ladders on the sides of the turrets? If so and you scraped them off how did you sand them so smoothly before putting on the pe?
Thanks,
John

Thanks for the comments Gents. John there were moulded on Ladders where the P/E ones are. I sanded them off with a mildly course grade of Sandpaper and then used finer Grades to get the smoothed effect before adding the P/E Ladders. Hope this helps.....Cheers mark

Hi Mark! That's a complex looking bridge. Very nice work. Are the white areas filler or 'frosting' from super glue?

Hi Mark,
coming along in leaps and bounds now. Looking good. The PE always brings models of the Yamato to life, the Tamiya model is just too slick and smooth to build without it. I wouldn't worry about the frosting, a dust coat of grey primer will make that disappear,
cheers mate,

Thanks for the comments Julien. I have had the Frosting happen before and know it will be gone under a lick of Paint.....Cheers mark

Our ships seem to be on the same pace for completion. I, for the most part, have started working on the hull which is where the rest of my work really lies. i may experience a length of time where it seems nothing gets done because i will be working on the anti mine cables or deck railings. i look forward to seeing more of how you progressing.
Are you going to be doing blast bags for the secondary guns or leaving them without? i completely forgot about them until i had the turret completed. now, if i do them, i fear i may mess up the PE. Im not completely sure if the Musashi would have had them anyway?
I have run into a dilema with the secondary guns because i am needing to find a way to put the barrels in place. i assume that you just cut the plastic barrles and replaced them with the brass?
