Wish I had Your skills Jesse. The PE work is great. One thing Im curious about is if the grey colour isnt a bit to bright, I was under the impression that IJN ships were rather dark.

the last few photos are primer only, so dont base too much off of those.
i am using the ijn gray, which is a dark gray. however, with scale models, they tend to look dark due to small scale, so i did post highlights over the ijn gray.
i didnt want it to turn out too dark and not being able to do anything other than post shading, which would have made it darker. this is why i did post shading and post highlight. This isnt to mention that the camera is my phone, so the quality doesnt reflect what it really looks like.

The wood deck really looks great, and the post shading is nicely subtle, looking great Jesse,

Very nice. You are right with the colour. In pictures from bigger distance the colour looks ok.

the lighting is not the best. assembly, other than the sea planes, is done. final steps include the rigging and weathering (filters, drybrushing, etc).

If you are doing a build feature you would write a word document and then go to the following link to add the text and fill in the other fields there;
http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/admin.php
The photo features can also be submitted to the same location.
The images in either case should be e-mailed to the following address;
