Very cool work, all the scratch work you are doing to the hangar bay looks excellent, Mardis! And on the outside the hull is really taking shape - that is quite some extensive backdating you are doing there! Looks great!

Thanks Guys, just added the last sposons on the ship. Waiting for the p.e. railings I order. In the mean time laying the warning decals inside the hangar bay and walls.

The Connie will be Kitty Hawk CVA-63 1961-1972. Why? Because Trumper came out with a Connie with aft rear curve sponsons. I bought a set of sponsons from Shapeways awhile back. Thinking the new Connie will be like Kitty Hawk later in her life. So if the editor would please delete my headliner CVA-64 Connie and put in CVA-64 Kitty Hawk. Thank You!

Kitty Hawk CVA-63 is now who she is. Hull is almost done.

No,Trumpeter just made the Connie with the round curve on it. So I have the curve sponsons I got from Shapeways for this model. So this will be Kitty Hawk instead. I have the J.F.K and beehive BigE to do also. Thanks for looking!

Just put on the last of the hull parts. Also prime the hull for the paint later. Next week I will place the aircraft and equipment in the hangar bay.

Started on the hangar bay aircraft and equipment. Maybe about 15 aircraft and a few equipment inside.

Got to get a new camera. This one just quit on me.

Just got a new camera. Added(6)Spads and (2) F4-B's to the hangar deck. Working on (2)Whales at this time. Equipment and crew are sill to be put inside.

Added crew members and a whale along 2 more Spads. A few more aircraft and equipment and hangar should be done.

Thank You Jan, this is my first detail hangar bay. I have two more to follow. One will be lit up and full hull.

Hangar bay almost done.

Just finished the hangar bay. On to the island and flight deck this week.

I'll have something to show tomorrow.

Starting to look like Supercarrier.

Working on the island at this time. The flightdeck will be sanded down tomorrow.

Back date the island.

Just added more detail to the island and painted the deck german grey.
