Shave all the pipes off. Fill in the openings for the forward sponsons. Used a drafting pen to do the waterline.

Sorry for the stupid question as I'm confuse by your title and what you are doing. I'm still learning about these carriers...you are back dating a CV-63 Kitty Hawk to CVA-64 Connie or are you back dating the CVA-67 to CVA-64? Isn't the CVA-67 same as CV-67 JFK? TIA

Either way, I'm following along to see whats happening here

Mike

Hi Mike, The kit is the 1/350 Kitty Hawk CV-63.What I'm doing is backing this ship to Nam era. CV-64 is the sister to CV-63.They were both CVA during Nam. That all change when both had antisub planes on board. J.F.K. started out as a CVA also. But all change in 1975 when Vikings came on board.

nothing is glue down. I'm not going to do a full detail job of the hangar bay. Just enough to see thru the openings. Also no lights. I have too many builds at this time. Some photos.

Mardi,

Nice job on the interior detail. The 3D printed parts look great. Looking forward to seeing them incorporated into the build.
