Here we go, the final push.

Railings, these have no gutter rail so they are fun to fit.







Railings painted to match the upper deck camouflage.



Ensign and jackstaff fitted. Ensign Hoisted at the gaff.



HMS Malcolm commissioned.













And in the box ready to go up to Telford tomorrow.




Will post some pics when I get back.. Or maybe before.

Very kind of you to say so. she will be spending the weekend on the IPMS London stand, along with a selection of my other builds.


I don't know about the competition your side of the pond, but over here we have to register exactly what we are entering by some time in September. I understand why, but knowing my luck, either I wouldn't finish the model or I'd drop it!

Thanks Michael,

Being ex Merch I have a great respect for the crews of the escort vessels, many of whom were hostilities only ratings, and their officers RNR or RNVR, which I think is why I like building theses smaller vessels the most.

I am intending to, especially as Starling Models River class Frigate being out, and L'Arsenal have just announced they will be releasing a type III Hunt class DE at the show! Both in 1/350th.

congratulations on your commissioning of HMS Malcolm!!
She's another fine model, as I mentioned more than once before I love your choice of 'out of the beaten path' subjects and the dedication you build those smaller vessels with. Great ship, mate! And I do like those colorful paint schemes, that's adding so much to it - next to your fine detailing!

Definitiv a winner!!

She is gracing the IPMS London stand, not a great one for competitions, especially when you have to pre-register the model.

I am hoping she will get the club some attention.
