Hi Don, I already wrote an email to modelshipwrights with my proposal for a "below 1.000 tons" campaign. It was said I have to wait for at least two weeks for a reply but until now no response...

I would have quite a few small ships and even submarines which would fit for that task so I would have a lot choice here.

I’ll be in for the 1000 ton-ish campaign.

That's 8 so far. Come on, just need 2 more!!

Woohoo, that's the best kind of miss-counting on my part

I already have my kits lined up. Yes, kits... I have a small resin kit which is well under the 1000 tons and 1 that's pushing the limit

I'm not sure if the submarines I could build will be under 1,000 tons

Hi Thomas,
There is a tutorial on the Armorama page for campaign leaders. It might be helpful. I don't think you start a campaign by just emailing the Administrator, but I could be wrong. It looks like you need fill out more stuff.
Good luck, I can't wait to see this one start. I'm still undecided on my build. I'm not sure if the submarines I could build will be under 1,000 tons. I'll need to do more research. If they don't meet the rules I have other models I could build.

I had the same issue. Turns out submarines are heavier than they look! Subs in my stash....

Gato Class - 1500ish tons
Type 636 - 2350 tons
Vanguard SSBN - 15900

If Special Navy releases Vesikko (250 tons) before the campaign starts, then it's no-brainer for me. Otherwise I'll pick largest box that fits the campaign rules from stash, which is Merit's PT boat.

I-13 and I-14 are 3600+ tons
but Type A Midget submarine comes in at 46 tons. My Fine Molds 1/72 kit is not completed. It may be a contender as my pick to build for this campaign. I also have a 1/72 Trumpeter LCM I'm thinking about doing.

Is a good idea. However if you might consider a liberal interpretation of the 1000 ton limit:

- Flower Class Corvette: 1070 tons
- Castle Class Corvette: 1077 tons
- Hunt Class DE: 1020 tons
- Algerine Class minesweepers: 1030 tons
- etc.

I view all the above as being small ships

I don´t mind if we would call the Campaign also "Below 1.100 tons". I have quite some small ships matching this size.
