You might also want to check your sources for the correct pattern of the non-slip walkways on Kidd. They were a different pattern on the later Fletchers than were on the early ones.

I believe the interior of all the gun tubs had a raised non-slip surface as well.

Great start. Very clean lines!

What blue did you use - brand and exact color. That looks really good, and I have never yet found a blue that I have used that suits my taste. The exceptions are whatever you used here and what Simon used on Ranger. From the photos they appear spot on.

I think my problem is that I stay away from enamels.

Also while I am thinking about it going by your call sign you are a tank builder. I have the same problem with a desert yellow for my Afrika Korps models. They all seem too bright. Tamiya's new color Desert Yellow 2 looks good to me, but I detest Tamiya paint

Looks great! I really like the vertical antenna - it just adds that extra touch.

Very nice PE work on the director.

Tom's PE I find to be to thin and sometimes to hard to work with. I hate it when the piece get distorted while cutting the attachment point or it bends under its own weight when picking it up. They do offer a lot of detail options but if I can find an offering from another vendor I will go with them.
