Hey Charlie,

Just wondering because it would give some of the younger guys a chance to organise something for Christmas and then enlist for the campaign

Cougar, You're right. That would be a good idea.

SSN693,
Welcome aboard. I plan to do the Cincinnati, but I also have the Ohio and the Seawolf on the way...hopefully I can fit them in as well, but my goal is an accurate Cincinnati...then the Ohio...thanks again for your input. It really has me motivated...can't wait to get started...

Hey Tiger,

I found this last week while looking for reviews on the Trumpeter Kilo.

Hey Skipper,

On the first page of this thread you mentioned that the Chinese Type 33 was a Chinese version of the Russian Romeo Class Conventional Sub.

What is the difference between the two?

wow i was a skeptic but now I am torn between so many ideas... Russian sub navigating around some ice floes (probably inacurate but it'd look great), japanese manned torpedo or a modern chinese or japanese sub patrolling the pacific and being hostile towards the other country. It'd be cool to try building a sub, but how will i decide?!

Hi Cougar!!

Sorry for replying this late, but was finishing a project!!
(at work, those projects that result in $$$) :-)
Regarding the Romeo the differences are only in the painting scheme! Outside the shape is the same!!

Well Mates,

Actually both the French (Surcouf) and the British (The M-1 and M-2 Subs, formelly know as Mutton Boats) have made subs with BIG GUNS...

I would like to join, but I think I won't have the time to build until february. I should be able to finish 1 sub if I start building in february, so I don't know if that is a problem??

I think I would go for the famous 1/72 Revell U-boat

Hello Martinnnn!

You have time to enlist!
After all, the campaign have not started yet

In my opinion the almost five months that this campaign is active is long enough, even to me to build a sub - and I am a very slow worker!

Feel free to join or to ask for help! You're most welcome!!!

Also a great welcome to our new mates aboard thsi campaign

Ok, I think I'll joint

I'm absolutely going to need your help, as this will be my 2nd ship (and 2nd sub) ever. I build a Revell u-boat before (about 35 cm long, don't know the scale) and that time I was 10 years old.....I think you get the point

But it sounds like fun!!

Welcome aboard, Martinnnn!!

If you reed this post from the beggining there are several hints that you may follow in the model to build.
If you don't find your answers there, ask and the crew will help

23 enlisted and counting guys! Keep it up!

Martinnnn,
Welcome aboard! As far as I know you (or anyone) can join the campaign at any time during its course. The key is to have enough time to build your sub and have a picture posted by the last day of the campaign. The time it takes to do that is determined by you (each modeler). I've seen some pretty nice models turned out in just a couple days on this site.
Personally, I only get to model once in awhile, so I'll be lucky to get one sub built the way I like by the end date....I hope to get at least two built though...

Got 1 problem: I don't know whether I've got enough free space here to display this huge u-boat....I've read it's about 93 cm long! Not bad at all! :-)

Hi

I'm going in with U-552 by Revell in 1/72 scale. You can see it here:
http://photobucket.com/albums/v435/Ravvenn/U-boot/

It's from "Kaden Cup" Model Nachod 2004. For now it's only 2 images, but soon it will be much more.

P.S. Sorry for my English*-)
